The installation process is very straightforward and any competent plumber should be able to manage it. Full installation instructions are provided with delivery of the urinals and we also have some installation information elsewhere on our website.
The only reason that waterless urinals might smell is if they are not being maintained correctly. It's really important that you never put water down your waterless urinals as water damages them and means that they may begin to smell. No. Waterless urinals require different cleaning methods from traditional urinals. In particular it's really critical than no water is ever put down a waterless urinal as this damages the urinal and can lead to problems with odour. The good news is that the cleaning protocol for waterless urinals is much less onerous than that for traditional urinals, meaning your cleaners can cover more ground in the same amount of time. Yes. URIMAT urinals offer various options for organisations who would like to advertise on them.
- The CompactPlus model offers a static poster advertising display
- The EcoInfo model is the same as the CompactPlus except that the advertising display is illuminated and sensor-controlled so it lights up when someone approaches it
- The Visutal advertising platform enables you to show video content on your waterless urinals
In most instances the miscea systems can be installed in place of existing taps but please check the detail with our technical department before ordering.
The miscea systems work best when installed on balanced hot and cold water supplies. If you do not have balanced supplies or are unable to install them, please speak to our technical department who will be able to advise you further.
Yes, with the current models of miscea, most default settings can be changed using the optional remote control module. The settings that can be adjusted is dictated by the particular miscea product that you have installed.
Yes, the systems have an auto-purge cycle for both the water and liquid dispensers. This has been set by default at 2 weeks. It is possible to adjust the frequency of the auto-purge function for more frequent water flushing using the optional remote control unit. This can be set as frequently as every 24 hours and the purge cycle can be set between 2 and 30 minutes.
Time and time again studies show that hand dryers to have a lower environmental impact than even 100% recycled paper towels. 100% recycled paper towels require transportation of source material to a production facility, where large amounts of chemicals and water are required for processing. After processing, fuel is used in transporting the paper towels to a distribution centre before reaching restrooms. After use, paper towels still need transportation to landfills, where they release methane gas during decomposition.
Electricity, however, can be generated in numerous green ways, from solar power to hydropower. With 1 kilowatt hour of electricity, the Jet Towel can dry 340 pairs of hands and produces no waste to clog landfills.
The Jet Towel® reduces drying time in two ways: First, the Jet Towel® blows high velocity air onto both sides of the hands simultaneously, reducing the overall drying time. Secondly, hands are inserted flat into the Jet Towel® ensuring that the maximum surface area is dried quicker.
Box-style hand dryers are available for less than $1000 (US). Traditional dryers, however, are so slow that very few people actually use them and leave the restroom disappointed. High speed box dryers are noisy, messy, and unsanitary as the air intake is located directly behind the air jet and therefor sucks up wet, warm air. While the Jet Towel® may be more expensive than traditional dryers, most facilities see a ROI of 12 months or less.
Product life is determined by motor operation. Assuming use at an average rate of 400 times a day, this would give the Jet Towel® a life expectancy of at least 7 years.
To prevent potential abuse or misuse, the Jet Towel® hand dryer incorporates a built-in timer that automatically halts operation after 30 seconds. Once the hands are removed, the unit resets and resumes normal operation.
No, the unit requires direct wiring.
The Jet Towel® hand dryer design presumes use at ordinary room temperatures. If the unit is to be utilized at a location with higher than normal temperatures, it is advised that the necessary wiring precautions be taken. In general, the unit should not be used in any area where the temperature regularly exceeds 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).
Extra reinforcement isn’t required for installation, but in the case of mounting on concrete walls, metal, or wood, screw plugs are advisable.
